Samantha is a fifth generation Floridian. She is a resident of Hamilton County, Florida after growing up in Naples, FL. Hamilton County is a peninsula within a peninsula located along the Florida/Georgia border. It is a rural community mostly known for farming.

The famous Suwannee River runs along the eastern & southern border, while the Withlacoochee River runs along the western border. An unspoiled & scenic river, the Alapaha, meanders through the middle of the county to the Suwannee River.

The Suwannee River flows out to the Gulf of Mexico along the big bend area of Florida. From freshwater to saltwater, the opportunity to fish is abundant.

The desire to be near the water while having a love of mountains springs forth from Samantha’s childhood. Her mom was born in the Ten Thousand Islands, off the coast of Florida, to a family of commercial fishermen, while her dad was a coal miner's son from West Virginia. 

Samantha has served her community over the years - from participating in various organizations that include Hamilton County Chamber of Commerce, where she served as President, to the Lake City Board of Realtors Board.

Samantha & her husband are experiencing an empty nest. They live in their Cape Cod style home, built in 1941, in the small Town of Jennings where she served a term as Mayor.
